100 Great Reasons to Eat Dead Animals

January 31st, 2007

Jesse

I’ve been sitting here for three years now, trying to write this article. Before I give up on the project entirely, let’s briefly examine the counter-argument. A recent study showed conclusively that vegetarians scored an average of 10 points higher in their IQ tests. Now, stupid vegetarians will likely spill their lentils in excitement at the prospect that not eating animal cadavers is making them smarter by the minute. Being smart predisposes one to being vegetarian, but being vegetarian doesn’t make you smarter. Stupid vegetarians.

“Eat Food. Not too much. Mainly Plants.”

Michael Pollan from the New York Times says he’s discovered the answer to the eternally befuddling multi-billion dollar question of how to battle obesity, stay healthy and be happy.

Eat “Food”! Fight Obesity! Win Friends & Influence People! It’s so simple!

It would seem that much of what we consume is not infact food. You’re much better off eating fresh foods rather than processed food products. That is to say, given the choice, you’re better off eating “food”.

So much so is our love affair with placing “food-alike” substances in our bodies in the form of hydrolised oil, transfat, enriched products and other silly words to make palatable that which is not infact food, that our effluent is toxic. In other words, our shit makes plants die.

Its the Circle of Life Yo!

Listen up Simba. Poo becomes plants. Plants become food. Food gets eaten by, and becomes People. People then poo… It’s the circle of life.

Eventually People become Food and then People become Poo. Everything you (should) eat is made of bits of stuff which used to be people and poo and trees. We call this stuff “food”. Healthy people eat food.

This isn’t the case in the modern world as our food is tainted by additives and preservatives that our bodies can’t handle. People add things which are infact not food to our food - Additives which poison the next link in the circle of life and lock organic matter (read: potential peoples, trees and FOOD) into unusable states.

So, in conclusion, eat “Food”.

News: Emo Dye Job Leaves Emo as Elephantman

January 22nd, 2007

elephantman emo Jack Taylor was an ordinary kid until he made one mistake. He became emo.
Taylor’s head swelled up to the size of a football after applying the L’Oreal Product “Casting Creme - Black” in what looks to be another in a long line of emo related accidents.

Two weeks later after being treated with steroids and antihistamine tablets, the 15-year-old still has a rash on his face and body.

Jack, of Harrogate, North Yorks, said he’d bought the dye from a chemist for £5.77, but the next day his buddies noticed his head was swollen.

“When I got home I looked in the mirror and I couldn’t believe it. My head was the size of a football.” Jack said.

He was rushed to hospital by dad Russell, 47.

Jack, who’s had stupid haircuts in the past without problems said yesterday: “I did it for fashion but it wasn’t worth it.”

Emo never is Jack… It never is…

Children in the Game on Amie Street Amie Street is the destination for Independent music. If you haven’t yet caught up with the site, it offers artists a new method of distribution outside of the middleman racket. Every track on the site begins as a free mp3 download and as the track increases in populatity, so does the price. Some of the more popular artists have tracks available for 70c or so, while much of the music is available for free. Best of all, the files come down the pipes as DRM free MP3 tracks, so you can play these on any player and do with them what you will!

The RGH pet band Children in the Game have an album up there, and it’s receiving some great feedback, so I encourage you to check it out for yourself and leave your comments/reviews.
