Here’s another example of an elegant solution to what seemed to be a relatively complex problem. The World Time Barrel is a 12 sided barrel shaped desk clock, with each side displaying the name of two major cities. You roll the clock and suddenly you’re in the correct time zone.
We got ourselves so immersed in digital clockery and timezone adjustment algorithms that we lost sight of how simple it was!
